Marketing Field House is built around the direction you want to explore, not a calendar of things to attend.

01 Get clear → 02 Widen the view → 03 Test what fits → 04 Make better choices → 05 Build toward what you choose

Once you start thinking seriously about what you want next, the question becomes how to turn that thinking into a direction you understand, choices you can evaluate, and progress you can actually make.

The journey will look different for everyone. Some people will know pretty quickly which direction they want to explore. Others will spend more time looking at possibilities or testing a few before one starts to stand out.

The experience follows what you are trying to figure out and what you learn along the way.

01. Get clear about what you want.

You begin with Leading Beyond Marketing, a four-week experience built around your own working life and the choices in front of you.

You look at what you are known for today, what your experience keeps pulling you toward, what you want to spend more time doing, and what you may be ready to leave behind.

As you work through this, you build your Direction Field Map — a living picture of what you want, the possibilities you are considering, what you need to learn or demonstrate, what you are testing, and the choices beginning to open up.

The map changes as you learn more. It gives you one place to see how your thinking is developing and keeps an important question in front of you:

What choices do I have now that I didn’t have before?

By the end of Leading Beyond Marketing, some directions will stand out more clearly than others. Then, in a private Designing Your Direction session, we look at what is emerging, challenge the assumptions behind it, and decide what deserves further attention.

02. Widen the view.

  • Field Guides are subject-matter experts who help you go deeper into a specific path, question, or area when it becomes relevant.

  • We help you build a Personal Advisory Board, a small group of people chosen because they can offer useful perspective on you, your direction, and the decisions that may come with it.When there is a genuine fit, we also make targeted introductions to people who can help you understand a path, role, or opportunity more clearly.

And throughout the experience, you stay connected with other experienced marketing leaders working through their own questions, giving you a place to compare notes, exchange perspective, and continue the conversation between sessions.

The value is not having a bigger network. It is having the right people around the questions you are trying to answer.

It is hard to understand your options if you are only looking at them from inside the career you already have.

Sometimes you need someone who has taken the path you are considering. Sometimes you need an expert who knows a particular world well enough to tell you how it really works. And sometimes you need people who know you well enough to challenge your thinking.

Marketing Field House gives you several ways to get those perspectives.

  • Experts in Residence are part of the fabric of the Field House, bringing experience and perspective you can draw on over time.

03. Test what fits before you make a big move.

Some possibilities are difficult to understand from the outside.

You can think about a direction for months and still not know whether it fits you. That is where Field Experiments come in.

A Field Experiment is a practical way to learn more about a direction before making a major commitment. It might mean trying a different kind of project, advising someone, spending time with people doing

the work you are considering, developing experience in a new area, or finding another way to get closer to the reality of the path.

Each experiment should teach you something: whether the direction fits, what it requires, and whether it deserves another step.

04. Make better choices when they become real.

Exploration becomes more concrete when a real opportunity or decision appears.

A role changes. Someone asks you to join something. A new path starts to look viable. You are deciding whether to pursue it, pass on it, stay where you are, or change direction.

Those are the moments when perspective matters most.

  • Second Opinion is a private conversation when you want another experienced perspective on a specific opportunity, idea, or choice.

  • A Decision Room is for the bigger decisions, when several perspectives can help you understand the trade-offs, pressure-test your thinking, and see what you may be missing.

You still make the decision. You just make it with more perspective and less guesswork.

05. Build toward what you choose.

When one direction starts to stand out, the work changes.

You are no longer asking whether it might fit. You are asking what it will take to make it real.

That may mean building experience, developing credibility, strengthening relationships, creating something tangible, positioning yourself differently, or taking a series of smaller steps that move the direction from an idea into something you can act on.

Over twelve months inside Marketing Field House, you move from asking what you want next to exploring the possibilities, testing what fits, choosing where to focus, and building toward that choiceBy the end of the year, you have more than an idea about what might come next. You have a direction you understand, people around you who matter to it, evidence from things you have actually tried, and progress toward making it real.

You know what you are moving toward and why, and you are already moving.
